JAKARTA - On Thursday, February 15, foreign investors purchased shares from Indonesian issuers, with a total foreign buy volume reaching 4.40 billion shares. This figure brought the net foreign volume to a surplus of 995.69 million shares. Moreover, the foreign selling volume this time was roughly 3.40 billion shares.

The list of share purchases started with the purchase of 131.66 million shares of domestic and foreign shipping business PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) for a net volume of 101.43 million shares, making it the highest this time. 178.32 million shares of state-owned bank PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were purchased, followed by the sale of 85.42 million shares of energy infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI). Through these two transactions, BMRI and BIPI's net volumes were both in the range of 70 million shares. Furthermore, foreign investors purchased around 92.02 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) in the petrochemical and energy sectors, for a net volume of 68.01 million shares. With a net volume of 61.81 million shares, 72.15 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) in the renewable energy sector were acquired.

Meanwhile, foreign investors began the list of share sales by selling up to 1.31 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of -68.23 million. The second highest share sale was made in the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), totaling 133.89 million shares with a net volume of -32.99 million. Shares of the automotive company PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) were also sold for 78.48 million, resulting in a net volume of -47.67 million. In the metal ore mining sector, foreign investors sold 35.32 million shares of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) for a net volume of -25.07 million shares. Finally, 71.27 shares of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) in the construction, infrastructure, and property services sectors were sold, and its net volume was -25.03 million shares. (KD)
