JAKARTA - On Friday, February 16, share buying and selling transactions done by foreign investors almost reached 3 billion shares each, with a foreign buy volume of 2.94 billion shares and a foreign sell volume of 2.92 million shares sold. As a result, net foreign volume stood at 26.47 million shares in surplus. The shares with the highest net volume belonged to the domestic and foreign shipping business PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), which had around 149.29 million shares after 156.87 million shares were purchased. Meanwhile, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) remain the most heavily traded, with 1.04 billion shares sold and a net volume of -408.37 million shares.

Shares of the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) then stood on the second-top-selling position after they were sold for 145.77 million shares with a net volume of -43.28 million shares. Furthermore, foreign investors sold 64.56 million shares of advertising firm PT Era Media Sejahtera Tbk (DOOH) and 51.26 million shares of construction firm PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI). These two transactions generated DOOH and ADHI net volumes in the range of -40 million shares. In the palm oil business, about 43.61 million shares of PT Pulau Subur Tbk (PTPS) were sold, for a net volume of -20.35 million shares.

State-owned telecoms operator PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) both had a net volume of approximately 91 million shares after foreign investors purchased 207.43 million TLKM shares and 122.87 million BUKA shares. Moreover, about 126.64 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) were purchased, with a net volume of 47.23 million shares. Finally, foreign investors purchased 69.61 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) in the renewable energy sector for a net volume of 62.34 million shares. (KD)
