JAKARTA - Foreign investors increased their share-selling activities on Friday, February 23, with a foreign selling volume of 3.26 billion shares sold. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was only 2.41 billion shares, with net foreign closing at -856.25 million shares. The greatest share sale was done to the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), where foreign investors sold up to 1.32 billion shares for a net volume of -773.89 million shares.

The shares of two banking businesses, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), were then targeted for the next share sale. Foreign investors sold 103.66 million BBRI shares, for a net volume of -50.16 million, as well as 92.76 million BMRI shares, for a net volume of -46.98 million. Shares of the airline PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were also sold for approximately 49.03 million shares, with a net volume of -36.66 million. Aside from that, 147.44 million shares of e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold, for a net volume of -32.64 million shares.

On the other side, 160.27 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were purchased for a net volume of 143.71 million shares. Shares of the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased for 128.64 million shares, with a net volume of 109.63 million shares, followed by the purchase of 221.90 million shares of the electric vehicle manufacturing company PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), with a net volume of 99.20 million. In the domestic and foreign shipping sectors, 91.41 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) were purchased, resulting in a net volume of 83.02 million shares. Finally, 35.61 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) were purchased, for a net volume of 22.14 million shares. (KD)
