Telkom to transfer data centre business for USD 219 million to NeutraDC Singapore
JAKARTA. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Pte. Ltd. (TelinSG), a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), has reportedy sold its data centre business to NeutraDC Singapore Pte. Ltd. (NDSG).
Anneta Hasan, VP Investor Relations of TLKM, confirmed that this business unit transfer had taken place on February 29, 2024. This business transfer is carried out in relation to the consolidation of data centre business in Singapore under one entity called PT Telkom Data Ekosistem (TDE).
For the record, NDSG is an entity entirely owned by TDE. Hasan further said that TDE is a data centre business vehicle of TLKM.
“This transaction is to strengthen data centre business owned by TDE to support TDE to become the market leader of data centre business in Indonesia and regional,” Hasan added in the official disclosure.
In addition, Hasan said that the business consolidation is intended to support TLKM’s data centre business unlocking plan in the future. “It is expected to provide the most optimal value for the company,” she further explained.
This transaction has no material impacts as it is done between TLKM’s subsidiaries. “There is not a direct impact on the company’s financial condition,” Hasan reaffirmed. (KR/ZH)
