JAKARTA. PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), a processed food manufacturer under Salim Group, recorded net profit of IDR 9.26 trillion in 2023.

This net profit is a new record set by ICBP within the past 4 years. Compared to 2022, its net profit grew 52.3% year-on-year (yoy), as the company only managed to record net profit of IDR 4.58 trillion in 2022.

“Amidst various global challenges and weakening purchase power in low-income class, I gladly report that ICBP managed to adjust to the market dynamics and be able to generate sales growth and profitability,” said Anthoni Salim, President Director and CEO of ICBP, in his official statement.

This net profit surge was indeed supported by its net sales that reached IDR 67.91 trillion in 2023. It climbed a shy of 5% yoy from IDR 64.79 trillion seen in 2022.

According to the recently released financial statement, instant noodle was still ICBP’s hero in 2023, contributing sales of IDR 49.22 trillion. Next, came dairy products’ sales with IDR 8.9 trillion worth of contribution, snacks of IDR 4.11 trillion, flavour enhancer of IDR 2.83 trillion, special nutrition and food of IDR 1.21 trillion, as well as beverages of IDR 1.61 trillion.

For dairy products, particularly, sales figure saw 29.9% yoy decline in 2023. In the meantime, other sales shifted positively.

“We will pay attention to global macroeconomic condition in order to match our strategy with current development,” added Salim. (KR/ZH)
