Net foreign volume drops to -263.46 million shares; Telkom Indonesia (TLKM) shows largest loss
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, March 27, the foreign sell volume climbed, reaching 3.07 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buy volume was only 2.81 billion shares, bringing the net foreign volume down to -263.46 million shares. After foreign investors sold its 351.14 million shares, shares of the state-owned telecoms operator PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) ranked first on the top-selling list with the lowest net volume of -252.05 million shares.
Aside from that, shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were also sold in large amounts, totaling 665.24 million shares and a net volume of -89.19 million. In the coal mining industry, 73.47 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were sold, for a net volume of -54.83 million shares. Furthermore, PT Sinergi Multi Lestarindo Tbk (SMLE) shares in the basic chemical goods sector were sold at 25.60 million shares, for a net volume of -22.12 million shares, followed by the sale of 21.19 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) in the multimedia services sector for a net volume of -20.38 million shares.
On the top buy list, PT J Resources Asia Pacific Tbk (PSAB) shares in the gold mining industry investment sector were acquired for 31.28 million shares and only sold for 1.05 million shares, resulting in a net volume of 30.23 million shares. The acquisition of 48.62 million shares of the minimarket business chain company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) resulted in a net volume of 29.74 million shares. In addition, 31.79 million shares of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), an oil and gas distributor, were sold, for a net volume of 28.99 million shares. Shares of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), a mining and energy consultancy services firm, and PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA), an industrial area development company, were both purchased in the 24 million share range.
