JAKARTA. PT Autopedia Sukses Lestari Tbk (ASLC), the company behing used car omnichannel sale platform Caroline.id and JBA auction business, recorded net profit of IDR 26.7 billion in 2023.

This net profit went up over eightfold, or 8.1 times higher than 2022, in which the company only scored net profit of IDR 3.3 billion. This achievement resulted from its revenue, which grew 42.2% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 682.4 billion in 2023.

Jany Candra, President Director of ASLC, mentioned that this positive shift in performance is due to measured expansion initiated by the company. "Among others is to open up a new Caroline.id showroom," Candra said in the official release. 

In addition, Candra said, ASLC's revenue growth was also driven by auction business performance. "In the future, pawnbroker business, which we recently established, is projected to be the new additional growth engine for the company's revenue," added Candra.

On the other hand, Candra admitted that new car market at the beginning of this year was indeed weakening. "The slowing down of new car sales in January and February turned out to be the reason many people switch to used car market," Candra explained.

According to IDNFinancials data, ASLC is a company that made its debut on Indonesia Stock Exchange in January 2022. The company's stock price went 0.86% or 1 point upward to IDR 117 per share nearing the end of the first session. Within the past year, it has shown a positive shift by 28.57% or 26 points. (KR/ZH)
