JAKARTA. PT Murni Sadar Tbk (MTMH), the issuer that owns the Murni Teguh Hospital, has poured IDR 52.4 billion into the acquisition of PT Riau Sarana Medika (Eria Hospital) located in Pekanbaru.

Armen Chandra, Corporate Secretary of MTMH, said that the number of Eria Hospital shares acquired by the company was 90% or the equivalent of 72 million shares. All these shares were purchased from 10 individual investors who own Eria Hospital shares.

"All shareholders of PT Riau Sarana Medika and the Company have also signed transaction documents relating to the takeover/acquisition," said Chandra, in his official statement today.

Chandra added that the acquisition of Eria Hospital was part of the company's business development strategy. In addition, the acquisition was carried out in order to comprehensively expand the company's reach of health services.

"The company also hopes for operational efficiency, so that it can make a positive contribution to consolidated financial performance in the future," said Chandra. (KR/LM)
