JAKARTA - On Thursday, March 28, foreign investors purchased 1.37 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of 922.83 million shares. This share purchase transaction drove the increase in foreign purchase volume of 3.08 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume was only around 2.46 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of 618.84 million shares.

Shares of the minimarket chain company PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) were purchased for 63.01 million shares, with a net volume of 47.27 million shares, followed by the purchase of 36.59 million shares of the consulting services company in the mining and energy sector, PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), with a net volume of 36.59 million shares. PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL), a property business, had the same buying volume and net volume at 34.06 million shares because no share sales were made. Around 31.07 million shares of aerosol services firm PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) were also purchased, with a net volume of 30.98 million shares.

Meanwhile, foreign investors sold the largest shares in the state-owned telecoms operator PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), totaling 178.67 million shares with a net volume of -110.01 million shares. In the coal mining industry, 109.21 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) were sold, for a net volume of -89.91 million shares. With only 517,500 shares purchased, the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) had a net volume of -83.20 million as foreign investors sold 83.72 million shares. Next, around 76.29 million shares of airline company PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) were sold with a net volume of -48.15 million shares. Finally, shares of PT Astra Internasional Tbk (ASII), which engages in the automotive industry, were sold for 75.07 million shares, with a net volume of -34.28 million. (KD)
