JAKARTA - PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL), a digital information and communication technology (ICT) company, concluded 2023 triumphantly, securing net profit attributable to the parent entity growth of 12.1% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 650.8 billion.

This net profit, skyrocketing double-digit, was supported by increased revenue of 5.2% yoy to IDR 22.1 trillion. According to the press release of MTDL quoted today (1/4), this number is the highest revenue recorded by the company since it was established in 1983.

In 2023, distribution unit still dominated the revenue, contributing approximately IDR 16.5 trillion, although its growth was relatively more stagnant compared to solution and consultation business unit, which soared 21.8% yoy to IDR 6.2 trillion.

In the future, MTDL believes that its distribution unit will continue to develop through commercial market. “In line with the success of the subsidiary, PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI), in gaining trust as an official IBM distributor,” added the management.

In the meantime, the rapid increase of solution and consultation unit was supported by sales to financial, telecommunication, as well as oil and gas sectors, which skyrocketed 29.7% yoy. It is also further accompanied with MTDL’s effort in providing products tailored to the trend of ICT solution market, namely cloud and artificial intelligence (AI).

The business prospects secured from partnership with IBM, Microsoft, as well as FPT IS, a leading company in digital transformation in Vietnam, as well as ever-evolving demands for digital ICT solutions, boosts MTDL’s confidence in its sustainable business growth.

“We see that in 2024, more and more companies will need Metrodata Group's services in carrying out digital transformation towards Industry 4.0. Therefore, we are optimistic that we will be able to achieve the total revenue target of IDR 25 trillion this year," claimed Susanto Djaja, President Director of MTDL, confidently. (ZH)
