Fin Centerindo Satu projects Menara Syariah to become global sharia economy centre
JAKARTA - PT Fin Centerindo Satu (FCS) projects Menara Syariah, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Tangerang, Banten, to be the national and global hub of economic activities and sharia-based education. In late April 2024, the building manager will sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the partnership with several reputable universities in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
Harianto Solichin, Commissioner of PT Fin Centerindo Satu (FCS), said that Menara Syariah is expected to be the centre of sharia economy, in which includes business, education, human capital, fashion hub, cosmetic, as well as hajj and umrah travel. “To be the sharia icon of Indonesia and international,” he stated in Jakarta today (2/4).
As of now, the company is exploring partnership with various parties, both domestic and foreign, to optimise the utilisation of the building through many economic, financial, and educational activities. At the end of April 2024, for example, there will be a partnership MoU between FCS and 8 international universities to establish a training facility.
According to Solichin, these universities will occupy one floor each at Menara Syariah, conducting educational activities paired with Universitas Indonesia. “In late April 2024, there will be a signing of an MoU with 5 renowned universities from Malaysia and 3 universities in Brunei Darussalam,” Harianto further added.
As is known, Ma’ruf Amin, Vice President of Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Head of Committee of Sharia Economy and Finance (lit. Komite Ekonomi dan Keuangan Syariah/KNEKS), are scheduled to inaugurate Banten Halal Festival Ramadhan at Menara Syariah, PIK 2, Tangerang, Banten, today (2/4).
Masduki Baidlowi, Spokesperson of Vice President of Indonesia, mentioned that the opening of Banten Halal Festival Ramadhan is a part of National Halal Fair (NHF) that takes place in 13 provinces throughout Ramadhan 1445 H. “It is to enhance economic and sharia financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia,” he said.
The building, with total investment worth IDR 3 trillion, has two towers: East and West Tower, which are projected to be optimally utilised by the Q3 2024. (LK/ZH)
