JAKARTA. PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (IMAS) has signed the partnership with GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Company Limited, regarding the joint partnership for GAC Aion motor vehicle distrbution in Indonesia.

Jusak Kertowidjojo, President Director of IMAS, mentioned that this partnership will grant added value to the company’s business portfolio. “By adding the variation of motor vehicle brands offered to the consumers,” said Kertowidjojo in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

This collaboration will be carried out by IMAS through its subsidiary, PT Indomobil Energi Baru (IEB). The IEB will then handle the distribution and sales of GAC Aion products.

Kertowidjojo also mentioned that this partnership is in line with the commitment of Indomobil Group in reducing carbon emission. “We proudly introduce GAC Aion as one of the top three companies,” he said.

For the record, GAC Aion is under GAC Group (Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd.), which claims to have the most comprehensive industry chain in China. GAC Aion was established in 2017 as the branch of electric vehicle business, whilst owning some of well-known electric cars, such as Aion and Hyper. (KR/ZH)
