JAKARTA - Foreign share buying and selling transactions experienced a decline on Friday, April 5. However, net foreign shares managed to remain in the green zone at around 59.26 million shares. The foreign buying volume was 1.80 billion shares, while the foreign selling volume was 1.74 billion shares.

Foreign investors then began a share-buying spree, purchasing 62.26 million shares of domestic and foreign shipping business PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), for a total of 53.75 million. With the same net volume range as BULL, around 434.66 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were also purchased. Aside from that, 45.62 million shares of aerosol services firm PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) were purchased for a net volume of 45.53 million shares. In the energy resources infrastructure sector, about 75.29 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were acquired, with a net volume of 38.79 million shares. Shares of the renewable energy company PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) were then purchased for 36.94 million shares, with a net volume of 28.06 million shares.

Furthermore, foreign investors also sold part of their shares. In first place on the top-selling list, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) shares were sold for 50.54 million shares, and the net volume was -37.20 million shares. Shares of BRMS' parent firm, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), which engages in the coal mining sector, were also sold for 39.22 million shares, resulting in a net volume of -33.81 million. Shares of the state-owned banking institution PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were sold for 129.09 million shares, for a net volume of -36.91 million shares. In the telecoms sector, PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) shares were sold for 91.73 million, with a net volume of around -28.85 million shares. Lastly, shares of property company PT Ciputra Development Tbk (CTRA) were sold for 27.65 million shares, with a net volume of -16.20 million shares. (KD)
