JAKARTA - PT Hero Supermarket Tbk (HERO) has reportedly filed a Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation (Penundaan Kewajiban Pembayaran Utang/PKPU) lawsuit in Commercial Court of Central Jakarta.

As quoted on the website of Central Jakarta District Court on April 17, said PKPU lawsuit was registered on Monday, March 25, 2024, under case No. 93/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2024/PN Niaga Jkt Pst. In addition, another lawsuit was filed against J.Co Donut & Coffee by PT Kawan Berkarya Mandiri.

In the petition, the complainant requested for temporary PKPU status, as well as appointing and assigning administrators during PKPU process, as well as curators should J.Co fall into bankruptcy. Furthermore, it requested J.Co to be summoned into the court taking place no later than 45 days since the temporary PKPU status was made effective by the panel of judges.

As is known, J.Co Donut & Coffee is managed under Johnny Andrean Group (JAG). Prior to this case made its way to the Central Jakarta Commercial Court, HERO has subpoenaed JAG regarding outstanding debts of IDR 8.2 billion. (LK/ZH)
