JAKARTA - The net foreign list on Tuesday, April 16, showed an increase in foreign selling volume, which totaled around 5.64 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign investors only acquired a total of 4.99 billion shares, leaving net foreign volume at -644.14 million shares. The state-owned telecoms operator PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) had the greatest net volume (-172.72 million shares) after 413.97 million shares were sold.

Aside from that, shares of two banks, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), were sold next. Foreign investors sold 501.42 million BBRI shares for a net volume of -122.94 million and 237.82 million BBCA shares for a net volume of -101.59 million. The shares of media business PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) were then sold for 89.47 million shares, with a net volume of -75 million. Furthermore, approximately 192.16 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) in the e-commerce sector were sold, for a net volume of -62.33 million shares.

On the other hand, shares of energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) and oil and gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) were purchased in the amount of 60 million, respectively. Those share-purchase transactions resulted in BIPI's net volume of 55.79 million shares and PGAS's of 38.45 million shares. In the valuable metals mining sector, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) shares were bought for 87.53 million, with a net volume of 45.08 million. Foreign investors also acquired 37.83 million shares of the electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), resulting in a net volume of 29.06 million shares. The top-buy list concluded with the acquisition of 167.98 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a mineral mining company, for a net volume of 24.65 million shares. (KD)
