Hotel Candi Baru now owns 68% of Sido Muncul (SIDO) after acquiring 5.14 billion shares
JAKARTA - On Friday, April 5, PT Hotel Candi Baru, the controlling investor in PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO), increased its stake by 5.14 billion shares via PT BNI Sekuritas. This share purchase also increased Hotel Candi Baru's ownership of the herbal medicine producer from 51% to 68.14% of SIDO shares. PT. Ahabe Niaga Selaras has also become a new shareholder in the automotive company, PT Bintraco Dharma Tbk (CARS). This investor acted quickly, acquiring 1.40 billion shares, or roughly 9.34% ownership, through two securities firms.
Next, PT KB Valbury Sekuritas, an investor in the livestock holding company PT. Widodo Makmur Perkasa (WMPP), added 368.50 million shares after selling shares the previous trading day. PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk then purchased nearly 33 million shares of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), a metal ore mining holding company, while Edwin Soeryadjaya, an individual investor, purchased 2.03 million shares of Saratoga Investama (SRTG).
Meanwhile, Bank of Singapore Limited reported the largest share reduction this time, releasing 30.71 million shares of digital bank PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk (AMAR). Albula Investment Fund Ltd., a foreign investor, also sold 25 million shares in a manufacturer of household appliances and medical equipment, PT Selaras Citra Nusantara Perkasa Tbk (SCNP), and GOTO Peopleverse Fund sold 9.45 million shares of the digital company, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Another foreign investor, BBH Luxembourg S/A Fidelity Funds, sold approximately 2.16 million shares of PT Surya Pertiwi Tbk (SPTO), TOTO Japan's sole distributor in Indonesia. Finally, individual investor Tan John Tanuwijaya sold 5.58 million shares of the foundation specialty company PT Berdikari Pondasi Perkasa Tbk (BDKR), reducing his ownership from 73.99% to 73.87%.
