Zed Utama Persada acquires 255 million shares of Bhakti Multi Artha (BHAT)
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, April 17, PT Zed Utama Persada acquired 255.43 million shares of the life insurance company PT Bhakti Multi Artha Tbk (BHAT). This new investor now owns 5.11% of the shares from the transactions conducted through three securities firms. Furthermore, PT Garam Ventura Indonesia, which owned 27.82% of the media and retail holding company PT Multi Garam Utama Tbk (FOLK), purchased an additional 114.85 million shares, increasing its ownership to 30.73%.
The transportation company's controller, PT. Batavia Prosperindo International Tbk, then claimed 1.69 million shares of PT Batavia Prosperindo Trans Tbk (BPTR). Another controlling shareholder, PT Bogamulia Nagadi, purchased 622,300 shares in the pharmaceutical company PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (TSPC), followed by the controller, PT Batavia Prosperindo Internasional Tbk, which purchased 500 thousand shares in the insurance company PT Malacca Trust Wuwungan Insurance Tbk (MTWI).
The greatest number of share sale, however, was carried out by PT. Shima Global Kapital, which released 136.67 million shares of PT. Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), an oil and gas exploration and trading company. PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala also sold 9.29 million shares of the financial services company PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), while Tan John Tanuwijaya sold 5.48 million shares of the foundation company PT Berdikari Pondasi Perkasa Tbk (BDKR). Foreign investors also seemed to be cutting back on shares. It started with GOTO Peopleverse Fund, which sold 13.23 million shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), as well as Albula Investment Fund Ltd., which sold 7.40 million shares of PT Selaras Citra Nusantara Perkasa Tbk (SCNP), which is a manufacturer of medical equipment and household equipment.
