JAKARTA – Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) agreed upon the allocation of final dividend of IDR 21 trillion or IDR 519 per share for the fiscal year 2023, which will be paid on May 30, 2024.

Said amount includes interim dividend of IDR 3.97 trillion or IDR 98 per share distributed to shareholders on October 31, 2023.

Therefore, the remaining amount of IDR 17 trillion or IDR 421 per share will be channelled out by the management on May 30, 2024. “It will be distributed to shareholders registered by May 15, 2024, at 4 PM WIB,” added the management of ASII.

With total dividend of the fiscal year 2023 of IDR 21 trillion and net profit of IDR 33.83 trillion at the end of December last year, ASII sets its dividend payout ratio to 62%.

Compared to the fiscal year 2022, ASII’s dividend in indeed decreasing, from IDR 640 per share to IDR 519 per share. The dividend yield, according to ASII’s closing price yesterday (29/4) of IDR 5,025 per share, only reached 8.17%.

Since the beginning of this year, ASII has been dealing with negative sentiment in the stock market. Thus, from the beginning of this year until today, ASII’s stock price has declined 9.65% year-to-date (ytd) ot down 550 bps. (ZH)
