JAKARTA – After scoring fantastic revenue growth of up to 28.7% year-on-year (yoy) in 2023 to IDR 1.78 triliun, PT Segar Kumala Indonesia Tbk (BUAH), a fruit and frozen poultry wholesale company, aims to obtain sales of IDR 2 trillion, or growing 12.3% yoy until December this year.

According to the statement from Renny Lauren, President Director of BUAH, during the Public Expose 2024 of BUAH today (2/5), the company has just completed the opening of 2 new branches last April.

"Until April 2024, we have opened new branches in Pekanbaru and Samarinda, with total storage capacity of 400 tons and 2 units of refrigerator trucks. Thus, as of now, we manage 16 branches across Indonesia," Lauren explained.

It is worth mentioning that in 2023, BUAH also established 2 new branches in Bangka Belitung and Palembang, with additional warehouse capacity of 2000 tons. "We actually target to open at least 2 branches each year," Lauren claimed. 

With the warehouse capacity reaching 7,905 tons and cooler trucks of 88 units as of April 2024, the company also seeks to secure net profit of IDR 48 billion or 23.7% yoy increase.

In order to boost its performance this year, BUAH has also allocated capital expenditure (capex) of IDR 16 billion, taken out of its internal cash. "For establishing a cold storage warehouse, we allocate approximately IDR 10 billion. Then, for refrigerator trucks, IDR 4 billion, while the remainde goes to office inventory needs," added Lauren.

Until the end of March 2024, Lauren claims that BUAH has realized 10% of its capex allocation this year, or equal to IDR 1.6 billion. (ZH)
