Dividend 65.44% lower, SMGR allocates IDR 572.04 billion this year
JAKARTA – The dividend of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) for the fiscal year (FY) 2023 is 65.44% lower than the dividend for FY 2022, due to the decrease in its net profit attributable to the parent entity.
Based on the data compiled today (7/5), SMGR reported net profit attributable to the parent entity of IDR 2.17 trillion in 2023, 8.20% year-on-year (yoy) lower than IDR 2.36 trillion in 2022. From said total dividend, SMGR allocates 26.36% of it, equal to IDR 572.04 billion as cash dividend, leaving the remaining 73.64% or IDR 1.59 trillion as reserve fund. The government, as the owner of 51.20% of SMGR, will receive IDR 292.88 billion, while public shareholders will share the remaining 48.80% or IDR 279.15 billion.
The dividend will be paid on June 5 to shareholders officially registered by May 17 (recording date). The cum and ex dividend in the regular and negotiation market is set to May 15-16, followed by the cum and ex dividend in the cash market on May 17 and 20.
In FY 2022, it managed to allocate 70% of its net profit, or IDR 1.65 trillion, as cash dividend. The remaining 30% or IDR 709.45 billion was set aside for reserve fund. Last year, 51.20% of total dividend, or IDR 847.60 billion, were channelled to the government, while the remaining IDR 808 billion was distributed to public investors. (LK/ZH)
