JAKARTA. PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), a media company overseeing several television channels and digital platforms, booked net profit of IDR 190.51 billion in the first quarter of 2024. 

SCMA's net profit grew rapidly as high as 185.8% year-on-year (yoy) in Q1 2024, compared to the same quarter last year, in which the company only scored net profit of IDR 66.66 billion. This net profit drove net profit margin (NPM) to grow to 10.84% in Q1 2024.

Based on the recently issued financial report, SCMA's revenue was recorded at IDR 1.75 trillion in Q1 2024. The revenue shifted 14.9% yoy from IDR 1.52 trillion seen in the same period last year.

The television and multimedia platform business is the highest contributor to SCMA's revenue in Q1 2024, with total revenue reaching IDR 1.41 trillion. Meanwhile, digital platforms brought in revenue of IDR 301.04 billion, followed by content creation and support of IDR 42.73 billion, as well as marketing services and support of IDR 61.67 billion.

In addition, other operating revenue booked by SCMA in Q1 2024 was multiplied fivefold to IDR 49.36 billion, while the net finance income increased 34.8% yoy to IDR 31.5 billion.

Until March 2024, SCMA's total assets were reported at IDR 11.11 trillion, with cash and cash equivalent of IDR 408.39 billion. Lastly, its total equity clocked up to IDR 8.64 trillion. (KR/ZH)
