Foreign transactions stabilized, net foreign volume remained negative at 269 million shares
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, May 7, foreign investors' share buying and selling transactions became stable. Foreign buy volume was approximately 2.60 billion shares, while foreign sell volume was around 2.87 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume concluded at -269.70 million shares. The shares with the largest purchase belonged to the telecommunications company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), which were purchased for 105.18 million shares with a net volume of 83.60 million shares. Meanwhile, the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the most shares sold, totaling 901.11 million with a net volume of -187.07 million.
Foreign investors then continued the share sale by selling 263.46 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) in the e-commerce sector for a net volume of -180.07 million. Shares of the banking corporation PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were then sold for about 193.39 million shares, for a net volume of -106.22 million. Moreover, 38.04 million shares of the fuel distributor company PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) were sold with a net volume of -25.90 million shares, followed by the sale of 24.42 million shares of the precious metal company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) with a net volume of -17.70 million shares.
Moving to the top buy list, the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) had the biggest net volume (89.61 million shares), after foreign investors purchased 92.08 million shares. Because its shares were rarely sold, PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), which operates in the renewable energy industry, had both a buying volume and a net volume of around 55 million shares each. Furthermore, foreign investors purchased around 27.74 million shares of the leasing business, PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN), for a net volume of 20.85 million.
