Gov’t aims for IDR 10 trillion in next week’s sukuk auction
JAKARTA. Indonesian government will hold another auction of Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or State Sukuk next Monday (20/5), with an indicative target of IDR 10 trillion.
There are 7 series of state sukuk offered in this upcoming auction, according to Directorate-General of Budget Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance. They consist of 2 series of Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara–Syariah/SPN-S) and 5 series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).
The yield offered for SPN-S is set to a discount, while the yield for 5 series of PBS varies from 4.87% to 6.87%.
The auction will take place using the system arranged by Bank Indonesia. All interested parties may submit their bids in the auction through primary dealers authorised by the Ministry of Finance.
According to IDNFinancials data, the Indonesian government had conducted another sukuk auction on May 6, 2024. The total bids recorded in the previous auction reportedly reached IDR 15.99 trillion, while total awarded amount clocked up to IDR 7.02 trillion. (KR/ZH)
