JAKARTA. PT Dharma Polimetal Tbk (DRMA), an automotive component manufacturer which is part of the Triputra Group, has made its first export of automotive component products to the United States.

Irianto Santoso, President Director of DRMA, said that the first export was the start of a series of sales of the company's products to the United States, which is targeted to reach US$15.8 million by the end of this year. In the following year, the company's exports to the United States are expected to increase to US$26.8 million.

"The hope is that this export activity will continue to develop in a sustainable manner so as to produce great benefits both for shareholders and for strengthening the Indonesian economy as a whole," said Santoso, in his official statement.

For the record, the automotive component products exported by DRMA to the United States are in the form of wiring harnesses. This product is produced by the company's subsidiary, namely PT Dharma Kyungshin Indonesia, a joint venture founded by the company with Kyungshin Corporation.

This wiring harness product will later be used for Hyundai and KIA brand vehicles. Previously, Kyungshin Corporation also had experience as a vehicle component supplier.

Until the first quarter (Q1) 2024, DRMA sales grew 3.1% from the previous quarter (Quarter-on-Quarter/QoQ) to IDR 1.34 trillion. The company's sales are expected to continue to increase, in line with the opening of the company's export market to the United States. (KR/LM)
