JAKARTA – Five issuers listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) are now entering as constituents of MSCI Global Small Cap Indexes, replacing 9 other companies from said index. This change in constituents will take effect on May 31, 2024.

Quoted from MSCI data today (15/5), the newcomers are PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Mitra Keluarga Tbk (MIKA)PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR)PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR), and PT Ultrajaya Milk Industri & Trading Company Tbk (ULTJ).

On the other hand, 9 issuers were dropped out of the index, namely PT Astra Otoparts Tbk (AUTO)PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI)PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), PT BPD Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk (BJBR)PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG)PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR)PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN)PT Metro Healthcare Indonesia Tbk (CARE), and PT PP London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk (LSIP).

For Asia-Pacific region, most of the newcomers come from Japan, recording 31 new issuers, while New Zealand and Philippines listed the least, only one issuer each. In contrast, the country with highest number of index drop-outs is South Korea, reaching 39 issuers. (LK/ZH)
