Foreign purchase and sell volumes differ slightly; net foreign volume at -118.10 million shares
JAKARTA - On Tuesday, May 14, share purchasing and selling activities were found to be quite similar, with a foreign buying volume of 2.51 billion shares and a selling volume of 2.63 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume ended at -118.10 million shares. The energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) had the biggest net volume this time, with around 81.11 million shares, following the purchase of 87.61 million of its shares by foreign investors.
Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), a digital company, were also purchased for 588.17 million shares, with a net volume of 75.25 million. In the renewable energy industry, shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were bought for 30.87 million shares, with a net volume of 30.28 million. The foreign investors then purchased 36.76 million shares of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI), which operates in the digital services and advertising industries. The last shares purchased on the top buy list belonged to the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), with a purchase volume of 32.19 million shares and a net volume of 24.61 million shares.
Meanwhile, on the top-sell list, foreign investors sold 188.75 million shares of the automotive company PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), resulting in a net volume of -123.01 million. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) shares in the coal mining sector were also sold for 189.86 million shares, with a net volume of -59 million shares. Furthermore, 85.24 million shares of e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold, for a net volume of -50.77 million shares. The final two share sales were made to two banking companies: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). Foreign investors sold 200.23 million BBRI shares, for a net volume of -48.70 million shares, and 79.74 million BMRI shares, for a net volume of -33.35 million shares. (KD)
