762 million Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) shares bought, net foreign volume recorded surplus of 221.67 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign investors purchased 762.11 million shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) on Wednesday, May 15, for a net volume of 241.53 million. This transaction boosted foreign buy volume to 2.69 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales totaled 2.47 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of 221.67 million shares.
Aside from GOTO, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares in the natural resources infrastructure sector were purchased for 62.82 million shares, for a net volume of 57.31 million shares. Furthermore, 56.49 million shares of the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased, for a net volume of nearly 48 million shares. Around 88.05 million shares of the petrochemical and infrastructure company PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) were also purchased with a net volume of 41.06 million shares, followed by the purchase of 51.27 million shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) with a net volume of 37.61 million shares.
Meanwhile, foreign investors sold 148.30 million shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) in the telecoms sector for a net transaction of -147.82 million shares. In the telecommunications tower operator industry, PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) shares were sold for about 150.78 million, with a net volume of -72.56 million shares. In addition, foreign investors sold 202.26 million shares of state-owned banking institution PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), resulting in a net volume of -65.81 million. Furthermore, no shares were purchased in the coal mining business PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC), resulting in a net volume of -29.65 million shares after foreign investors sold 29.65 shares of the issuer.
