JAKARTA – Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) agreed upon the allocation of dividend of IDR 2.17 trillion for the fiscal year (FY) 2023, slightly climbing from IDR 2.06 trillion allocated in FY 2022.

With total listed shares of over 8 billion, the dividend per share for FY 2023 is set to IDR 268.4. The dividend per share is seen increasing from IDR 255.7 per share recorded in FY 2022.

Although the revenue went up 9.6% year-on-year (yoy) in 2023 to IDR 51.23 trillion, Indosat actually recorded a slight downturn of 11% yoy in net profit from IDR 5.37 trillion to ID 4.78 trillion.

So did the net profit attributable to the parent entity, which slightly slipped from IDR 4.7 trillion to IDR 4.5 trillion at the end of 2023. In other words, dividend payout ratio of ISAT reaches 49% this year, increasing from 44% seen last year.

“The remaining IDR 2.34 trillion will be retained as the company’s earnings,” added Nicky Lee, CFO of Indosat.

It is worth mentioning that until the end of March 2024, ISAT reported rapid growth, be it in the top line or bottom line, with revenue skyrocketing 15.8% yoy to IDR 13.83 trillion and its net profit that jumped 40% yoy to IDR 1.4 trillion. (ZH)
