Foreign selling volume reaches 4 billion shares, net foreign volume drops to -721.98 million shares
JAKARTA - Foreign share sales transactions increased on Wednesday, May 29, with a total volume of 4.05 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was only 3.33 billion shares, which caused the net foreign volume to drop to -721.98 million shares. Furthermore, almost 35% of foreign sales volume was generated by the sale of shares in the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), totaling 1.43 billion shares, resulting in a net volume of -96.28 million shares.
Additionally, shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold for 298.68 million shares, with a net volume of -194.78 million. In the banking sector, foreign investors then sold 328.97 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with a net volume of -123.06 million shares and 138.44 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with a net volume of -54.33 million shares. Shares of the investor company in the field of operating telecommunications towers, PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), were also sold, amounting to 110.51 million shares, and the net volume was -54.71 million shares.
On the other hand, foreign investors were seen buying 67.15 million shares of the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), resulting in a net volume of 58.12 million shares. Shares of the mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were then purchased for 85.05 million shares with a net volume of 55.72 million shares, followed by the purchase of 53.54 million shares of its parent company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) in the coal mining sector with a net volume of 17.68 million shares. Moreover, 50.08 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were purchased, for a net volume of 25.47 million shares.
