JAKARTA - At the end of May, the coal mining company PT Resource Alam Indonesia Tbk (KKGI) welcomed a new foreign investor, Sinar Nusantara Sdn Bhd. On Friday, May 31, approximately 296.96 million shares of this coal mining company were purchased, making Sinar Nusantara the new owner of 5.94% of the shares. In addition, Dimas Adiarso Putro purchased 53.78 million shares of PT Anugerah Spareparts Sejahtera Tbk (AEGS), an issuer in the motor vehicle filter industry, to acquire a new 5.35% stake.

Furthermore, PT Monaspermata Persada's collection now includes up to 22 million shares of electrical and communications cable manufacturer PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk (JECC), bringing the total number of shares owned to 47.28%. Cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) then repurchased 5.40 million of its own shares, followed by individual investor Budijanto Tirtawisata, who purchased 1.50 million shares of tourism company PT Panorama Sentrawisata Tbk.

In contrast, Zurich Assets International Ltd., a foreign investor, sold 30 million shares of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), which provides consulting services to the mining and energy sectors. Another foreign investor, Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd, then sold more than 28.63 million shares in PT Link Net Tbk (LINK), a multimedia and internet service provider.

The Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia continued to sell shares in the construction company PT Totalindo Eka Persada Tbk (TOPS), or Totalindo, as it had done on previous trading days, this time for 21.88 million shares. Tan John Tanuwijaya continued to sell shares in the specialist foundation company PT Berdikari Pondasi Perkasa Tbk (BDKR), totaling 16.25 million shares. Finally, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, the controller of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), a financial services provider, sold 2.72 million shares. (KD)
