Profit down 35.6%, Mega Perintis’s dividend shrank
JAKARTA. PT Mega Perintis Tbk (ZONE), a company engaged in the fashion production and retail, only distributed cash dividend of IDR 14.05 billion or IDR 16.15 per share taken out of its net profit in 2023.
The dividend is 22.9% year-on-year (yoy) lower from the fiscal year (FY) 2022, in which the company paid out dividend of IDR 20.94 per share.
Said decline is in line with ZONE’s net profit performance in 2023 that only arrive at IDR 46.97 billion, down 35.6% yoy from 2022 that was reported at IDR 72.94 billion. In the top-line, the revenue in 2023 was reported increasing 9.3% yoy to IDR 735.45 billion.
For the record, the allocation of dividend for FY 2023 is equal to 29.9% of its net profit, which was agreed upon by Annual General Meeting of Shareholders last week.
In addition, ZONE’s shareholders also approved the allocation of IDR 100 million of its net profit as general reserves, leaving the remainder stored as unrestricted retained earnings.
According to IDNFinancials data, as of now, 35% of ZONE are under the control of Versito Gunawan. PT Tancorp Investama has another 22.95%, followed by Vanda Gunawan of 12.21%, Ganesh Subash of 8.23%, Franxiscus Afat Adinata Nursalim of 4.31%, and public investors of 17.26%. (KR/ZH)
