JAKARTA. PT Caturkarda Depo Bangunan Tbk (DEPO), a retail company specialized in building materials, is planning a cash dividend distribution of IDR 27.16 billion for the fiscal year (FY) 2023. 

The amount of dividend channelled out by DEPO is equal to approximately 31.7% of 2023 net profit. "It is according to the result of Annual GMS on June 6, 2024," said Caroline Kettin, Director of DEPO, in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The dividend will be given to DEPO's shareholders, whose names have been listed by the recording date on June 20, 2024. The dividend payment is due July 5, 2024, with the allocation of IDR 4 per share.

According to IDNFinancials data, the dividend per share allocated by DEPO for FY 2023 is 73.9% higher than FY 2022 allocation, which was only set to IDR 2.3 per share.

It is worth mentioning that DEPO only booked net profit of IDR 85.65 billion in 2023. This is 17.14% lower than the previous year, in which the company scored net profit of IDR 103.36 billion as of December 2022. 

Actually, at the top-line, DEPO's revenue in 2023 grew 3.84% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 2.68 trillion. However, its cost of operation swelled 13.06% yoy to IDR 419.62 billion. (KR/ZH)
