JAKARTA - PT Humpuss Maritim International Tbk (HUMI)  will acquire several new vessels to attain the target of 20% profit growth at the end of 2024. The company reported net profit of 2023 of USD 10.41 million.

Tirta Hidayat, President Director of HUMI, mentioned that the demand for offshore supply vessel (OSV) is skyrocketing, thus offering promising prospects for the company. “It requires ship companies to meet its own needs,” he said in the press release quoted Wednesday (19/6).

According to Hidayat, the company will add 9 new ships, consisting of 3 chemical tankers, 1 LNG tanker, and 5 tugboats. Until May 2024, the company has presented 4 out of those 9, namely 2 chemical tankers and 2 harbour tugboats.

In 2023, HUMI reinforced its fleet with 4 new vessels to enhance its operational activities. In Q1 2024, it reported revenue of USD 27.31 million, up 17.43% from USD 23.26 million in 2023.

In addition, HUMI will also distribute dividend of IDR 18.01 billion or 11.04% of 2023 net profit; a year after its debut in the stock market on August 9, 2023. Its retained earnings were at USD 63.21 million, while total equity clocked up to USD 164.97 million. (LK/ZH)
