JAKARTA – Three out of 19 issuers in oil and gas industry were reported distributing jumbo dividend to its shareholders for the fiscal year (FY) 2023. The issuer with the highest amount of dividend this year is PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS).

Based on the data compiled by IDNFinancials today (5/7), PGAS distributes total dividend of USD 222.47 million, down 2.58% from USD 238.36 million seen in FY 2022.

This slight decrease follows the 14.75% downtrend in its net profit to USD 278.09 million from USD 326.23 million. Unrestricted retained earnings were reported at IDR 326.23 million, while total equity reached USD 3.44 billion in FY 2023.

Next came PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) with dividend of USD 2.46 trillion, up from USD 1.48 trillion. Its net profit also went up from IDR 2.40 trillion to IDR 2.78 trillion, while its retained earnings and total equity were recorded at IDR 9.29 trillion and IDR 14.04 trillion in FY 2023.

Then, the dividend of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) was reported reaching USD 45.04 million, slightly increasing from USD 40 million. Its net profit in 2023 was reported declining from USD 530.88 million to USD 330.67 million. The company also booked retained earnings and total equity of USD 260.63 million and USD 2.02 billion.
