JAKARTA - Foreign investors were seen selling a total of 3.19 billion shares on Thursday, July 4. This transaction was followed by share purchases too. However, the total foreign buying volume was only 2.02 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume dropped to around -1.16 billion shares. The telecoms company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) had the most shares sold (1.46 billion), with a net volume of -1.46 million shares.

In the same sector, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) stock was sold for 61.98 million shares, with a net volume of -26.48 million shares. Apart from that, 117.54 million shares of the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP) were sold, with a net volume of -57.43 million shares. Shares of the electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) were then sold for 30.18 million shares, for a net volume of -24.27 million shares, followed by the sale of 20.30 million shares of the ceramic producer PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA), for a net volume of -19.42 million shares.

Meanwhile, foreign investors also purchased 336.55 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), a banking company, for a net volume of 209.89 million shares. The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) came in second place on the top buy list, with 301.14 million shares purchased for a net volume of 70.27 million shares. Furthermore, foreign investors purchased 47.67 million shares of PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR) in the electric motor vehicle trade sector, with a net amount of 31.70 million shares. In the renewable energy sector, 26.81 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased, with the net volume remaining slightly different at 26.18 million shares. Finally, foreign investors purchased 41.57 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of 19.70 million shares. (KD)
