Gov’t eyes IDR 10 trillion in next week’s sukuk auction
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government is once again planning an auction of Sharia Government Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or state sukuk on July 16, 2024, with an indicative target of IDR 10 trillion.
There are 7 series of state sukuk to be auctioned off, consisting of 2 series of Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara – Syariah/SPN-S) and 5 series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).
The yield for both SPNS series is in the form of discounts, while the yield for 5 series of PBS will range from 4.87% to 6.87%.
As mentioned in said auction, all investors may submit the bids to the auction through primary dealers authorised by the Ministry of Finance.
For the record, this is the second sukuk auction held by the government in H2 2024. Previously, on July 2, the government had also conducted another sukuk auction with total incoming bids of IDR 17.99 trillion and awarded amount of IDR 7.18 trillion.
According to IDNFinancials data, the Indonesian government had arranged 13 rounds of state sukuk auction since the beginning of this year. The accumulated incoming bids has now reached IDR 250.92 billion, whereas total awarded amount hit IDR 117.87 trillion. (KR/ZH)
