JAKARTA. PT Transcoal Pacific Tbk (TCPI), a company engaged in the shipping industry, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with a Hong Kong company for asset divestment, selling off 1 unit of mother vessel (MV).

Bintang Septo Drestanto, Director of TCPI, mentioned that the MV unit is called Aliyah Pertiwi. The divestment is decided at price level of USD 7.5 million.

“This transaction is not an affiliate transaction as there are no affiliation between the company and the buying party,” said Drestanto in the official statement.

Drestanto said that this vessel divestment is carried out following the upgrade of its fleet. “The condition of this vessel has been less commercially beneficial to be operated by the company,” he added.

Prior to this, in June 2024, TCPI also divested another vessel for IDR 8 billion. Further back, in May 2024, the company had also sold 2 units of vessels for a total of IDR 18 billion. (KR/ZH)
