SGER acquires coal supply from Xekong Power Plant Company
JAKARTA - PT Sumber Global Energy Tbk (SGER) is purchasing coal supply from Xekong Power Plant Company, Laos, which then will be sold to Vietnam. Coal sales have indeed brought the highest contribution to its revenue last year.
Michael Harold, Corporate Secretary of SGER, confirmed that the coals bought from Laos will be shipped to Vietnam. “Xekong Power Plant Company is located in Saravan, approximately 800 km from Laos’s capital city, Vientiane,” he added in the information disclosure quoted Thursday (11/7).
As is known, the company agrees to supply 200 thousand metric tons (MT) of coals to Vinacomin Northern Coal, Vietnam, until August 15, 2024, starting from yesterday (9/7). The contract value was USD 22.51 million or equal to approximately IDR 366.28 billion.
In 2023, SGER’s total revenue was IDR 12.31 trillion, recording contribution from coal sales of IDR 12.21 trillion, nickel sales of IDR 85.81 billion, and contractor service of IDR 9.40 billion.
SGER then booked gross profit of IDR 1.05 trillion, current year’s net profit of IDR 681.30 billion, and net profit attributable to the parent company of IDR 687.94 billion. (LK/ZH)
