JAKARTA - On Tuesday, July 9, share sales transactions carried out by foreign investors resulted in a foreign selling volume of 2.03 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was only around 1.84 billion shares, leaving net foreign volume at -195.86 million shares. The telecoms business PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) had the most shares sold, up to 224.32 million shares, for a net volume of -223.02 million shares.

Apart from that, PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) shares in the automotive industry were sold for 68.91 million shares, with a net volume of -37.86 million shares. Around 41.24 million shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), a telecommunications infrastructure provider, were then sold, for a net volume of -31.92 million shares. The foreign investors then proceeded with the transaction by selling shares in two state-owned construction and infrastructure companies: PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA). ADHI shares were sold for 45.59 million shares, with a net volume of -28.64 million shares, and WIKA shares were sold for 60.05 million shares, with a net volume of -27.79 million shares.

Next on the top buy list were 222.01 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) that were bought, resulting in a net volume of 87.03 million shares. Shares of the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were also purchased for 88.26 million shares, with a net volume of 67.31 million shares. Foreign investors then purchased 87.94 million shares of PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), a domestic and foreign shipping services company, resulting in a net volume of 56.89 million shares. Furthermore, 154.37 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were purchased, for a net volume of 37.27 million shares. At last, 31.08 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), which specializes in renewable energy, were purchased for a net volume of 30.99 million shares. (KD)
