JAKARTA. PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR), a logistics and shipping company, will distribute final dividend of IDR 196.5 billion or IDR 12 per share.

Said plan is going according to the result of Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held last June 26. In said meeting, shareholders agreed upon dividend allocation of 21.8% of its net profit in 2023.

For the record, SMDR reported net profit of USD 74.59 million in 2023, which is equal to IDR 1.2 trillion using a currency exchange rate of IDR 16,154 per USD.

Prior to this, SMDR had distributed interim dividend of IDR 65.5 billion or IDR 4 per share on August 30, 2023. Thus, total cash dividend for the fiscal year (FY) 2023 clocks up to IDR 262 billion or IDR 16 per share.

After allocating cash dividend, shareholders of SMDR also approved regarding the allocation of remaining net profit as retained earnings. Said profit balance will then be allocated for working capital and investment purposes. (KR/ZH)
