Foreign buying volume reaches 2 billion shares, net foreign volume surplus at 300.80 million shares
JAKARTA - On Friday, July 12, foreign investors purchased shares from 937 issuers, resulting in a foreign buying volume of 2.01 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume was around 1.71 billion shares, leading to a net foreign volume surplus of 300.80 million shares. The acquisition of 74.98 million shares of the energy resources infrastructure business PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) kicked off the share purchase list with a net volume of 72.03 million shares.
Following BIPI, 54 million shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were purchased, with no shares sold, resulting in the same number of net volume. Aside from that, 74.39 million shares of the state-owned construction business PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) were purchased, for a net volume of 49.98 million shares. In the banking sector, foreign investors purchased 102.68 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) for a net volume of 43.27 million shares and 191.89 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) for a net volume of 39.85 million shares.
On the other hand, foreign investors also engaged in share sales, beginning with the selling of 99.10 million shares of the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), for a net volume of -65.94 million shares. PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) shares in the telecommunications sector were then sold for 57.40 million shares, with a net volume of -56.39 million shares. Furthermore, shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), a telecommunications infrastructure provider, were sold for 51.88 million shares, with a net volume of -35.64 million shares, followed by the sale of 48.71 million shares of the banking company PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), with a net volume of -31.49 million shares. The last shares sold belonged to PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB), a gold mining company with foreign investors selling 31.73 million PSAB shares, for a net volume of -25.11 million shares.
