JAKARTA. PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) now operates sea port solutions (loading and unloading and mooring services) as well as bulk liquid storage through one of its subsidiaries, namely PT Chandra Pelabuhan Nusantara (CPN).

In its official statement, TPIA said that currently CPN has operated 3 strategic piers in the Sunda Strait with a total capacity of 96,000 DWT for various products. Apart from that, CPN also has tank facilities of 518,000 cubic meters which can be used to store various chemicals and fuel.

Suryandi, Director of HR & Corporate Affairs at TPIA, said that CPN services are expected to support industrial and national economic growth. "CPN, with its strategic location connecting the Java Sea, South China Sea and Indian Ocean, will play an important role in accelerating and diversifying the company's business development," explained Suryandi.

For the record, CPN has received approval from the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) to carry out port business. TPIA as the holding company has also released port, dock and supporting assets to CPN since July 1 2024.

In the future, CPN will also serve external customers after the concession application is completed. (KR/LM)
