JAKARTA - On Wednesday, July 17, foreign investors sold 3.20 billion shares of the digital enterprise PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of -1.73 million shares. This trade accounted for 64% of the overall foreign sales volume, which was around 5.04 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign buying volume was 3.01 billion shares, bringing net foreign volume to -2.03 billion shares.

Aside from GOTO, foreign investors sold 170.01 million shares of telecoms company PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) without purchasing them, resulting in a net volume of -170.01 million shares. In the banking industry, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares were sold for 169.46 million shares, with a net volume of -53.57 million shares. Furthermore, shares of financial services business PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) and mineral mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) were sold for around 50 million shares each, resulting in BCAP's net volume of -49.28 million shares and BRMS's of -40.22 million shares.

According to the share purchase list, foreign investors purchased 81.43 million shares of the domestic and foreign shipping services company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), for a net volume of 79.11 million shares. Shares of the state-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) were then purchased for 138.51 million shares, for a net volume of 76.01 million shares. Around 84.32 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) in the energy resources infrastructure sector were also purchased, for a net volume of 58.74 million shares. In the renewable energy sector, 27.20 million shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were purchased, for a net volume of 26.74 million shares. Finally, 31.87 million shares of pharmaceutical company PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KLBF) were purchased, with a net volume of 25.15 million shares. (KD)
