JAKARTA - Foreign investors' stock buying and selling activity on Tuesday, July 23, was outstanding, with a total of 4.44 billion shares bought and 7.33 billion shares sold. As a result, net foreign volume plummeted to -2.89 billion shares. The sale of 5.90 billion shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) was the main contributor to the high foreign sales volumes. GOTO's net volume after that transaction was -2.65 billion shares.

Share sales then continued for the coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), namely 217.88 million shares, with a net volume of -188.53 million shares. Shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), which works in the investment and telecommunications support services sectors, were sold for 40.71 million shares, with a net volume of -35.71 million shares. Two banking company shares were also sold, namely those belonging to PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP). In these two transactions, foreign investors sold 72.59 million BBRI shares with a net volume of -30.58 million shares, and 39.10 million BBKP shares with a net volume of -25.67 million shares.

Meanwhile, 83.11 million shares of domestic and foreign shipping services company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) were purchased, with a net volume of 78.94 million shares. Shares in the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) were also purchased for approximately 80.59 million shares, for a net volume of 64.61 million shares. Aside from that, foreign investors purchased 51.35 million shares of PT Mitra Pack Tbk (PTMP), which focuses on the packaging business, for a net volume of 27.18 million shares. In the telecoms sector, 61.67 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) were purchased, for a net volume of 26.09 million shares. Finally, 21.56 million shares of logistics and shipping business PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) were purchased for a net volume of 15.61 million shares. (KD)
