JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) is entering its second year being listed under three categories of Indeks52: Main Index, High Growth, and Big Market Capitalisation. After the annual evaluation of Indeks Tempo-IDNFinancials 52, this state-owned sharia bank is deemed capable of meeting several criteria.

BRIS made its debut in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2018. Since then, its net profit has continued to flourish, even recording a fantastic record of net profit compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of up to 138.43% within the past 5 years, the highest amongst 84 constituents of Indeks52.

Not only that, as one of the few sharia banking companies, BRIS’s shares are more popular in the capital market, with average daily transaction frequency and volume of 5,863 transaction and 17.3 million shares, and further supported by 127.5 thousand shareholders and free float rate of 9.87%.

As of March 2024, BRIS’s market capitalisation reached IDR 125 trillion, the 22nd out of 84 issuers of Indeks52 post-evaluation. It is worth mentioning that these 84 constituents of Indeks52 scored market capitalisation of up to IDR 9 quadrillion or 78.06% out of total IDR 11.5 quadrillion reported total market cap in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Several criteria mentioned above have been fulfilled by BRIS, thus allowing the company to enter its position in 3 categories of Indeks52. Other than Main Index, High Growth, and Big Market Capitalisation, Indeks52 has another category: High Dividend.

It is worth mentioning that Indeks Tempo-IDNFinancials 52 or Indeks52 is the index that comes out of the collaboration between Tempo and INFinancials, officially launched on JUne 23, 2023. Involving various public companies from various industries, this index could hopefully serve as an alternative reference for investors to start their investment activities in the stock market by highlighting top stocks and issuers.
