JAKARTA – Although reporting increased revenue in the first half of 2024, the net profit of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) was seen sloping compared to the same period last year.

Quoted from Financial Report of H1 2024, the revenue of this Indeks52 constituent reportedly climbed a shy of 2.46% year-on-year (yoy) or IDR 1.84 trillion, from IDR 73.47 trillion to IDR 75.29 trillion.

However, its operating profit slipped 6.01% yoy to IDR 21.63 trillion from IDR 23.01 trillion, resulted from increased depreciation and amortisation costs, as well as employees’ expenses.

The profit for year then dropped 8.30% yoy to IDR 15.42 trillion from IDR 16.82 trillion, while net profit also decreased 7.80% yoy to IDR 11.76 trillion from IDR 12.75 trillion, bringing earnings per share to IDR 118.72 from IDR 128.77.

TLKM’s revenue came from telephone segment of IDR 3.56 trillion, interconnection service of IDR 4.84 trillion, data, internet, and information technology service of IDR 47.11 trillion, network of IDR 1.53 trillion, Indihome of IDR 12.97 trillion, other data services of IDR 3.69 trillion, and lessor transaction of IDR 1.56 trillion.
