Foreign shares sale transactions reach 3 billion shares, net foreign volume falls to -517.14 million
JAKARTA - On Monday, August 5, foreign selling volume hit 3.03 billion shares, while foreign buying volume was only 2.51 billion shares. The gap between the two caused the net foreign volume to drop at -517.14 million shares. Foreign investors began buying 788.36 million shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), resulting in a net volume of 92.24 million shares.
The second share purchased belonged to the energy resources infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), with approximately 80.61 million shares and a net volume of 59.54 million shares. With a net volume of 59.48 million shares, 72.56 million shares of the renewable energy business PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) were acquired. Aside from that, PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) shares in the aerosol services sector were also purchased at 56.11 million shares, with a net volume of 49.27 million shares, and followed by the purchase of 54.16 million shares of the automotive company PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), for a net volume of 35.59 million shares.
Meanwhile, the share sale transaction list shows that about 474.98 million shares of e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold, with a net volume of -429.83 million shares. The next shares to be sold belonged to the two banking companies, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). Foreign investors sold 158.85 million BBRI shares for a net volume of -72.88 million shares, and 98.29 million BBCA shares for a net volume of -41.44 million shares. In the petroleum distribution sector, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) shares were sold for 52.18 million, with a net volume of -37.18 million shares. Finally, foreign investors released 27.90 million shares of PT Bakrieland Development Tbk (ELTY) in the property development sector without purchasing any shares, resulting in a net volume of -27.90 million shares.
