First half results are in, BNII saw 2.60% decline in revenue
JAKARTA – The revenue of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (BNII) slowed down, triggering a decline of its net profit in H1 2024 compared to H1 2023. The revenue and profit both shrank 2.60% and 86.61% year-on-year (yoy), respectively.
In the Financial Report of H1 2024 quoted Thursday (8/8), net interest and sharia income slipped to IDR 3.51 trillion from IDR 3.60 trillion in H1 2023.
Other operating income also saw a downturn, decreasing 5.80% yoy to IDR 989.56 billion from IDR 1.05 trillion. This downtrend effect was also seen on operating profit, which dropped as significant as 77.37% yoy from IDR 1.26 trillion to IDR 287.21 billion.
Total assets of this Indeks52 constituent were reported at IDR 189.16 trillion as of June 2024, up from IDR 171.80 trillion. However, its liabilities also increased from IDR 141 trillion to IDR 159.23 trillion. (LK/ZH)
