JAKARTA. PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), the media company managing SCTV and Indosiar television channels, reported net profit of IDR 327.7 billion in the first half (H1) of 2024.

Said profit record increases 372% year-on-year (yoy) from the same period last year, in which SCMA only booked net profit of IDR 69.6 billion.

Advertising business still contributed primarily to SCMA’s revenue in H1 2024 with IDR 3.26 trillion worth of revenue. Other revenue was reported at IDR 659.59 billion, while sales cuts were IDR 585.38 billion.

According to the recently released financial report, SCMA’s net profit growth was supported by its net sales that reached IDR 3.33 trillion in H1 2024. Its revenue in the first half increased 9.9% yoy from IDR 3.03 trillion seen in H1 2023.

In addition, operating revenue of SCMA in H1 2024 also increased fivefold to IDR 71.69 billion. Then, the company’s finance income also multiplied 59% yoy to IDR 70.15 billion.

According to IDNFinancials data, SCMA reported total assets of IDR 11.3 trillion as of June 30, 2024, with cash and cash equivalent of IDR 722 billion. Meanwhile, total equity was recorded at IDR 8.43 trillion. (KR/ZH)
