JAKARTA - On Monday, August 12, foreign investors purchased 1.42 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), for a net volume of 79.06 million shares. Through this transaction, foreign purchase volume jumped to 3 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume totaled 2.56 billion shares, resulting in a net foreign volume surplus of 441.21 million shares.

Aside from GOTO, 213.36 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy resources infrastructure business, were purchased, with 177.74 million shares representing the greatest net volume. Shares of PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA), which operates in the renewable energy sector, were also purchased by 64 million shares, and the net volume was 63.02 million shares. Furthermore, 47.57 million shares of the aerosol services company PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO) were purchased with a net volume of 35.32 million shares, followed by the industrial area development company PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) which was purchased for 45.37 million shares with a net volume of 33.57 million shares.

In contrast, foreign investors sold 39.61 million shares of agricultural biotechnology company PT Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (BTEK), resulting in a net volume of -39.61 million shares. The sale of 25.90 million shares of the multimedia firm PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) and 20 million shares of the ship rental company supporting offshore activities, PT Pelayaran Tamarin Samudra Tbk (TAMU), resulted in net volumes of around -20 million shares for each. In the distribution of cellular telephone products, PT Omni Innovation Indonesia Tbk (TELE) shares were sold for 19.15 million shares, with a net volume of -19.15 million shares. Finally, shares of PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA), an electric vehicle battery producer, were sold for 18.27 million shares, for a net volume of -15.90 million shares. (KD)
